Fighting Mobile Spam
Realizing that mobile text spam is becoming an increasing problem, Vodafone is trying to implement a new program to stamp it out. The program is called VSpam, and basically just lets users easily report text spam. Users just need to forward the spam to "VSPAM", and Vodafone and the Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services (ICSTIS) say they'll take that information and use it to stop spammers. Who knows how well this will work, but it's good to see they're at least trying something before the problem gets out of hand.
