Wayport Connects With Verizon Wireless
Wayport must have hired a new bizdev guy with some connections in the carrier world. In the last month or so they've been signing deals left and right. Following on similar deals with AT&T Wireless and Sprint PCS, now Verizon Wireless will be reselling Wayport service as well. Of course, they don't say how the pricing will work, or if they're just getting Wayport service on their Verizon Wireless bill. Meanwhile, that's yet another company reselling Wayport's 700 or so hotspots. How many analysts are going to now add another 700 hotspots to their list of available hotspots in the US? At this rate we'll have a million hotspots in no time... all served up in the same 700 locations.
