Coping With Cellphone Calls Overseas
In a story that goes well with the story we posted yesterday about Japan by Cellphone, is this NY Times story about dealing with international roaming issues that quotes our own Derek Kerton, saying that international roaming is pretty much a joke, and your mostly better off getting a second phone if you're traveling internationally all the time. With an unlocked GSM "world phone" ($60 on eBay), you can just buy a prepaid SIM card when you land, and use that account during your stay.
