WiFi is clearly a global phenomenon. There are rapidly fewer areas that you can travel in this world and not have (in some way) access to a WiFi connection. For example KFC restaurants in the Czech Republic are now offering free WiFi to diners chowing down on the Colonel's finest crispy strips of chicken. It's currently considered a "pilot" program, and appears to be run by a local telecom firm that is hoping to build up interest in WiFi, so that people will buy its WiFi equipment.
