WiFi Monitoring Showing Up Everywhere

It appears that one of the next big areas in the WiFi space is WiFi "monitoring". It appears that companies are realizing that security is always going to be something of an issue - so if you can't build systems that actively keep bad things out, you might as well know what's happening on your access points yourself. Two companies today announced new "WiFi monitoring" solutions, and there are plenty more starting to crawl out of the woodwork. Elixar, formed out of an open source project, tries to monitor all your WiFi traffic and determine if anything "bad" is happening. Network Chemistry appears to be selling a box that does WiFi monitoring as well. From the description, their box looks like an access point, and you just plug it into your network and it does the monitoring for you.
