Mariners Let Fans Phone For Food, Beverages
Well, that was fast. Just last week we had an article about how minor league baseball teams were experimenting with letting fans order concessions to be delivered to their seat via their web-enabled mobile phones. It's pretty typical in baseball that promotions tested successfully in the minor leagues make their way up to major league ballparks. In this case, it's happening already. The Seattle Mariners are now testing an "order from your seat" plan with a limited menu (and jacked up prices). Sounds like a good solution for those who don't want to miss half the game waiting in line at the concession stand.
