Slow Adoption Of Next Generation Mobile Messaging

The latest study (and keep in mind that these types of studies seem to change their numbers every few months - so I wouldn't go around believing it too strongly) is saying that "next generation" mobile messaging adoption may be slow in catching on. It appears that people are pretty happy with their SMSing abilities and aren't yet convinced of the need to move on to MMS or the new Wireless IM standard. While many earlier predictions suggested that MMS would sweep the world by storm, this report suggests that such a storm is going to be a long time coming. They don't expect widespread adoption for at least another three to five years.
