D-Day Start For Wireless Auction - Still Few Serious Bidders
The latest wireless auction farce in the UK continues as they've now set a date to auction off spectrum for fixed wireless solutions, but almost no big name providers are planning on bidding. A few no names have plans to appear with varying degrees of seriousness. The auction is set up so that winners don't have to guarantee their payments and don't have to have any sort of actual roll-out plans or guarantees. It seems pretty clear to everyone that this isn't the best way to get such spectrum allocated, and yet, they're still moving forward as planned.
