This Is Not A Cellphone - It's A VoW Phone
With all the hype in the last few weeks about Cisco introducing a voice-over-WiFi phone, it sounds like, for some companies, that's old news. This Fortune article talks about a company that has been using voice-over-WiFi for some time already to communicate internally. The article mentions that voice-over-Wifi is "so new that technology geeks haven't yet come up with a wonky acronym or nickname". Someone in the article suggests VoW. Certainly beats VoWiFi.
