Beyond Wi-Fi - The Future Of Wireless Networks Or More Of The Same?
WiFi may be the cool thing these days, in terms of wireless networks, but there's always something new around the corner. Silicon.com teases their article to suggest that there are new technologies around the corner that will take over the WiFi mantle - but the article, itself, disappoints. They just cover the same technologies you should already know about such as the 802.11a and 802.11g flavors of WiFi. The writer of the article doesn't seem to realize that both of these are still considered WiFi as well. The only other technology the article picks up on is UWB technology, which people have been talking about for ages.
