The Most Powerful Wi-Fi Card Ever?

I recently bought a WiFi card from NetGate, which promotes it as being powerful enough to have a reach approximately 3 times the reach of an ordinary WiFi card. Now, I haven't done any thorough testing of the card, but so far, I haven't noticed much difference in range at all. In fact, it's been almost exactly the same as my old WiFi solution. I'm planning to do some more testing, so maybe I'll change my mind. However, I'm a little skeptical when I read claims about high power WiFi cards. Of course, as the article points out, such cards aren't allowed in some countries, so now I'll have to be careful where I travel with my card.
