Nortel Pushes WLAN For Enterprise Campus
Everyone is looking for where they can make some money in the WiFi value chain. Nortel is making their play today as they announced a WiFi switch that would allow companies to cover an entire campus, networking multiple access points into a single network. The question is whether or not companies realize they actually need such a solution. Nortel thinks it's something companies will realize only after they've set up a number of access points - though I wonder if they'll actually realize that at any point. Just setting up a variety of access points - without connecting them via a switch will work for most people.
