China Mobile Unlikely To Adopt Homegrown 3G
Last month there were reports that China Telecom was secretly testing CDMA 2000 3G networks in the hopes that they wouldn't be forced to use China's homegrown 3G technology - which many consider to be inferior. Now, China Mobile is saying they have no plans to adopt the Chinese standard either, and will probably end up going with a GSM/WCDMA solution instead. So far, things aren't looking good for the "hometown solution".
