3G Being Secretly Tested In China
With all the debates raging over what technology China is going to use for their 3G deployments, it's interesting to hear that a division of China Telecom is supposedly secretly testing CDMA 2000. Executives at the company are worried that the government is going to force them to use China's own standard, TD-SCDMA, so they're trying to be proactive and pick the technology they feel is better.
