Is Ultrawideband Too Wide?
It seems that with any new wireless technology there are all sorts of blown-out-of-proportion fears about how it will interfere with other systems. The latest to be caught in such a debate is ultrawideband. It shouldn't be much of a surprise but, some people are worried that UWB will interfere with their own signals. UWB proponents say the fears are overblown, and I tend to agree with them. Every time this issue has come up in the past, it's even been overhyped, or rapidly fixed through the technology.
