Here's Broadband in Your Pocket
Researchers at Bell Labs Australia have developed a "turbo decoder chip" that can transfer files at up to 24 megabits per second over 3G networks. The Wired article claims industry analysts think the chip could compete with Wi-Fi. This is yet another example of misguided comparisons between Wi-Fi and Wide Area Network technology.
