Verizon Scraps Wireless IPO
Verizon Communications has decided that it's no longer desperately in need of cash, and therefore, will not be spinning off Verizon Wireless in its own IPO. Generally speaking, this probably makes much more long term sense for Verizon, though, there is the possibility that being tied to the wireline side of the business will hinder some of the wireless division's efforts in cannibalizing the parent company's business.
