Palm.net Drops Unlimited Plans
It seems that Palm and Cingular are trying to ween subscribers off the Palm.net wireless service. Palm.net has started notifying subscribers that the unlimited plan is going away due to some "policy changes" at Cingular. Palm.net and the associated devices, the Palm VII and i705, have never been great successes. Cingular and Palm are probably trying to get people to switch to the upcoming Palm W that runs on GPRS. Although I can't imagine that suddenly dropping unlimited data plans is going to win them many converts.
