Crisis Calls Earn Wireless Priority
There are various debates on whether or not phone networks should give preference to certain types of traffic. At a very basic level, that's now going to happen for emergency officials who have T-Mobile phones. By dialing a special code, approved emergency officials will get priority on making a phone call. The idea is that during emergencies, like September 11th, emergency workers will be able to reach each other, even if the rest of the phone lines are swamped.
