New Device Ready To Rival BlackBerry?
Lots of hype today about the announcement that Korean firm, HuneTec is licensing the PalmOS to offer a handheld device that works over WebLink's pager network to offer always-on email. From the pictures on HuneTec's website it seems pretty clear they're targeting the BlackBerry. The big question, then, is what's the advantage of offering a me-too product in this space? My guess is they'll aim for being a lower cost provider and try to undercut RIM. However, being the lowest cost provider is often a dangerous long term strategy.
