Billions of MMS in 2003
ARC group estimates that 3.1 billion MMS messages will be sent in 2003. About 85% of those messages will be sent in the Asia/Pacific region where camera phones are already popular. That leaves about 400 million MMS for the rest of the world which is miniscule when you consider that an estimated 360 billion text messages were sent globally in 2002.
