No France For You
In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Vodafone has lost the battle for SFR to Vivendi. Through a combination of loans and selling of assets, Vivendi was able to match Vodafone's $4 billion dollar bid for control of SFR parent Cegatel. So for now French wireless honor is preserved. We were actually looking forward to Vodafone shaking things up in the sleepy French wireless market.
