Lord Of The Rings Goes Wireless
We're seeing more and more movies using wireless as a promotional vehicle. The latest wireless movie tie-up is between Verizon and New Line Cinema. The two will work together to promote the next two Lord of the Rings films to Verizon Wireless customers. The movie industry was pretty quick to add the internet to its promotional mix and now its seems pretty natural to use the net next to check out trailers and movies times. While we're a long way form watching trailers on phones, hopefully messaging and WAP based movie promotions can help draw users to wireless data services.
