Teens Smoking Less Because Of Mobile Phones
It's fairly common these days to see research about how teenagers use mobile phones - and most of the results aren't that surprising. This study, however, might be surprising to many people (though, it makes plenty of sense once you think about it). It seems that teenagers are smoking less because they use mobile phones. The initial connection might not be obvious, but there are a few reasons for it. First, the mobile phone gives them "something else to do with their hands". More importantly, though, mobile phones are "smart, chic and adult", which is part of the reasons many teens take up smoking in the first place. The study also notes that many teens now spend what they would have spent on cigarettes on mobile phone services.
