Monet Launches High-Speed 1xEV Wireless Data Network
Monet Mobile Networks announced today that they've launched the first CDMA 2000 1xEV-DO high speed wireless network to let people wirelessly surf the web on any device at speeds up to 2.4 megabits per second. The initial launch is only in Duluth, Minnesota, but they plan rollouts in other areas shortly. The pricing sounds extremely reasonable, as well: $40/month for unlimited usage. It will be interesting to see if this starts to catch on as an alternative to cable/DSL broadband.
