Making a Mesh on the Move
The Guardian has an article about some of the companies that are working on mesh network solutions, and discusses how they could be a real threat to 3G. It's amazing how many people want to talk about threats to 3G, when 3G itself hasn't really gotten that far. At this point, I'd say 3G is its own biggest threat, and 3G supporters have plenty to worry about without focusing on all the various other early stage technologies out there. Not that they shouldn't be aware of what's going on, and prepared to work with those technologies, in some way, but there are bigger concerns right now.
