A Rebirth for Ricochet
Amazingly enough, Aerie Networks finally (finally, finally) has gotten around to relaunching Ricochet, though just in the Denver area. It will be interesting to see if they can succeed where Metricom failed. They, at least, have changed their strategy to focus more on consumer users as an alternative to cable/DSL (as Metricom should have done). The question, though, is if it's too late. Have things like WiFi encroached too much on the market to make it worthwhile for people to use Ricochet again?
