FCC Gets Behind Wi-Fi
The FCC now allows support of both Bluetooth and 802.11 in a single device. There was some concern about the two interfering with each other, but the new legislation allows the use of new spread spectrum methods that reduce the chance of interference. This development should help carriers and device makers planning roaming between WLAN and cellular networks.
