Wireless Investing Up
VCs are investing in wireless again. In the first quarter of 2002, VCs invested $700 million in wireless, an increase of 8% from the same quarter the previous year. Much of the new investment is focused on semiconductors that increase chip efficiency and costs. Investors are looking for ideas that can generate money today, not change the world many years from now.
