FCC Forcing Open Lines

This ought to be interesting to follow. The FCC is making the major local telcos share their lines with data carriers. The telcos are understandably pissed off. I haven't followed this closely enough to have a definite opinion one way or the other, but it's interesting. I'm going to try to read up some more on the whole deal.
