Yahoo adds a wallet.

Yahoo is currently offering wallet functionality on its web-site. They allow you to enter your credit card and then shop without entering it again. Oh boy.

    OK, I'm perfectly willing to admit that this is because my skull is a little too thick, but I don't get the whole "wallet" concept. Other than saving me 2 seconds on typing in my CC number, what's the benefit (aside from the huge security risks)?

    You are right. It only saves a bit of retyping in exchange for an added security hazard. The real benefit is for the businesses that use the wallet concept. When buying becomes easier, sales go up.
