Sun to Provide Startups with Cheap Boxes
from the they're-just-starting-this-now? dept
Sun is now promoting a deal for new startups where they'll provide machines at a very low price and expect to be paid back later as the startup grows. The article suggests this will help them out in competition against HP and IBM, but I think the real target here is Linux boxes. Most startups looking for a cheap Unix box will go Linux, and that's a threat to Sun.
