RealNetworks Spying on Users

from the not-quite-the-privacy-folks-expected dept

Turns out that RealNetwork's Jukebox product sends a lot of info back to the company. It tracks who the user is and what sort of music they are listening to. The privacy policy they make you read doesn't happen to mention this (oops).

    I hold the same opinion on this one as I do with the potential for Microsoft to know what's on my machine. Who cares! If I have something to hide I'll either find a better place to put it, or I'll encrypt it so it doesn't matter what they see on my machine.
