Ryan Bethencourt writes "The building of a wireless monolith was announced today. This may bring in further competition to the other large wireless service providers, which I think can only be a good thing as it should drive consumer prices for wireless down further." This deal has been rumored for quite some time. Personally, I hope that beyond the pricing changes it will finally help wake up the US market to wireless. Compared to many other countries the US is very far behind.
