Great story about some guy who is trying to sell his new soft drink vending machines, which require you to call in with a cell phone or beam your order with a Palm Pilot, and which will then give you advertising or coupons or something of the sort. No more fishing around for coins or the dollar that's not crumpled up, but some interesting privacy concerns as well.
