Iridium Flop
from the was-there-anyone-who-actually-thought-this-would-work? dept
A Wired article is detailing all of the many problems facing Iridium. This is, of course, no big surprise to anyone who's been paying attention ever since the Iridium project first started. It was doomed to fail. I like the comparison to the Edsel that Wired uses, and I wonder if, in the future, people will use "Iridium" to mean "incredibly stupid and ridiculously costly projects that failed miserably".
