“Yeah, but Nina is claiming Gema destroys content. Once again, the content of her cartoon just isn’t true. I do suspect the Techdirt sheeple will fall for it though.”

No, GEMA destroyed POTENTIAL views of Sita. You people love potential things, don’t you? Like potential sales being “destroyed” or “taken away” or “stolen” or “booty-raped”? We’re just taking a page out of your book, homey.

Yo dawg, we heard you liked putting all your eggs in potential baskets, so put the word potential in front of stuff to make our arguments almost make sense if you smack yourself in the face with a hammer several times. U mad?

I see. So I make a whimsical comment utilizing the tactics you bring up all the time, you then argue against your own tactics, completely missing the irony and humor behind my comment (WHOOOOSH!), and somehow you’ve convinced yourself that YOU’VE painted ME in the corner?

Buddy, give me whatever you’re on, because ignorance must truly be bliss….

Oh, nice attempt not to answer.

What is it DH? Is Mike full of it for claiming that potential is meaningless, or is Nina full of it for claiming that Gema destroyed her (whatever it is) because it destroyed her potential?

I await your answer, not a deflection.

Come on. Your a big boy. Man up and give us an answer.

No.

“or is Nina full of it for claiming that Gema destroyed her (whatever it is) because it destroyed her potential?”

Nina didn’t make that argument. I did, mockingly. You’re propensity for wrongness is awesome….

“I await your answer, not a deflection.”

Here’s my answer. Potential sales are a dubious argument. The potential for sharing culture is less dubious, because it doesn’t rely on a result (like a purchase), only the potential (access). GEMA removed access to material, loss of potential sales doesn’t do that. Denying access is concrete. It either is or is not. You either have access or you don’t.

A “lost sale” claimed due to piracy can in fact be lost for a variety of reasons, or in fact never truly a potential sale at all. It is not concrete. It is inherently unreliable because it is a claim against something that DIDN’T happen and therefore has no basis in observable reality. Shutting down access differs, because it is an action taken by GEMA that I can witness and react upon.

Congrats, you lose. Next time you might consider doing something different than trying to play word games, because it makes you come off as an idiot.

Still waiting to figure out which one you think is full of shit, Mike or Nina. Clearly your statements mean that they cannot both be right.

Someone who dislikes unfunny comics says:

This is rather blunt.

Honestly, I prefer comics that are funny. No offense, I just don’t really like political comics. Is there some way to set up the site to filter these comics so I can read just the stories? I would like that.

I mean, I’m not saying you should stop posting these! I’m sure some people like them! I just personally dislike them enough that I would appreciate a way to avoid seeing them please. Other then strategically closing my eyes. Thank you for helping!

Re: good luck with that

there is Money involved, and Mike will stop at nothing to get his hands on it, it’s coming up to the weekend, and Mike wants some good dirt for page hits for his weekend spending money.

So nina is still crying herself to sleep about Sita !!! wow that was years ago.. Nina get over it, it was not even YOUR freaking ‘culture’ to steal and sell.

Culture is not like big mac’s you cannot buy or sell it, or acquire it from someone else.

I guess if you do not have any culture yourself, you have to try to steal it from somewhere else, but that is just a very sad state of yourself.
