Wheels Of Zeus Come Off
from the the-plot-thickens dept
Yesterday, we discussed the unusual IPO of Acquicor Technology, a Steve Wozniak company, which raised $150 million to do anything they want. It was unclear how the company would operate since it has no full-time employees, and because CEO Gil Amelio is a partner at a VC firm while Wozniak is the head of his own company, Wheels of Zeus. However, today an anonymous tipster informed us that Wheels of Zeus is no more. A call to the number on their website says its been changed, and gives you another number, where a nice lady says the company is shutting down. Yes, we confirmed it. So at least Wozniak should have some time to devote to Acquicor, though hopefully for his investors it will turn out better than Wheels of Zeus.
