UK Decides To Outlaw DDOS Attacks
from the book-em-danno dept
We've noted several times some deficiencies in the UK's Computer Misuse Act, which, among other things, lets people spam businesses and allows rootkits like that of Sony BMG. Denial-of-service also attacks aren't a crime, but that looks set to change as the government there is revamping the Computer Misuse Act, looking to update it to make some of these things illegal, including DDOS attacks. So, if you want to mailbomb your employer, you can still do it from the UK -- but you'd better hurry.
