No, No, No, I Mean This Time The Wealth Creation Will Stick
from the bubble?--what-bubble? dept
During the first internet bubble, well known venture capitalist John Doerr famously said that it was: "the largest legal creation of wealth in the history of the planet." Then, when the bubble burst, he apologized for the remark, admitting that all the hype actually turned it into a speculative frenzy -- rather than being about real value creation. However, now that there's some buzz about the internet again, he's back talking it up. Nothing quite as extreme as his original quote, but he does make it clear that this time it's a boom, not a bubble.
