Traffic Power Discovers The Magic Of The Streisand Effect

from the people-who-need-people... dept

Last month, we wrote about how Traffic Power, the search engine optimization company with a horrible reputation was trying to sue one of its loudest critics for what people were saying in the comments on his blog. They were effectively trying to shut him up. However, like so many things, the process of trying to shut someone up online often backfires tremendously -- so, once again, we have the Streisand Effect at work. The Wall Street Journal, who had written about the case previously, thought it was worthwhile to dig even deeper into Traffic Power's awful reputation, finding all sorts of complaints against the company. So, congratulations to Traffic Power for figuring out how to use the Streisand Effect to magically turn one random blog's negative comments into a complete negative article in the Wall Street Journal.
