Online Dating Stereotypes -- Part II
from the there-for-a-reason dept
A few months back we posted a link to a story looking at certain stereotypes concerning the process of online dating. Clinton East writes in with a link to a somewhat related simple piece of research he did himself, looking at words more likely to be found in men's profiles and women's profiles, which seems to show -- once again -- that the stereotypes have some basis in fact. So, in case you were wondering, fellas, talking up your skateboarding obsession is unlikely to generate that much interest from the ladies. Ditto for the women out there talking about how wonderful their Pilates classes are. Of course, if you're looking to catch the attention of the opposite sex, understanding what they write about more often might be helpful.
