Fugitive Caught By Online Gaming Habit

from the time-to-play-by-yourself dept

It looks like one Taiwanese fugitive (wanted for murder, kidnapping and illegal weapons possession) has just shown the criminal underground why they shouldn’t play online games. The police had been trying to track down his whereabouts for some time, when they heard he liked to play a particular online game. So, they started playing as well, found his character, and then got his IP address and was able to track down his location. Apparently thinking he was still in an online game, he then tried to shoot his way out or escape the 130 police officers and two tanks that came to pick him up. He ended up being shot a few times, but is likely to survive.
