eBay Doesn't Just Ban Live8 Tickets... But Fake Bidders As Well

While noting that eBay eventually backed down and blocked the sale of any Live8 tickets (for no good reason, honestly) we also noted that Geldof's request to fans to bid up the prices of the tickets to ridiculous rates worked. However, it looks like eBay gets the last laugh on this one, as they've banned the Geldof fan bidders who ran the prices up way above what anyone would actually pay, noting that it's against eBay rules to make hoax bids.

    Oh my god, you mean those that were banned now have to make up another handle awith a different hotmail account? Wow ebay sure did get the last laugh. Those banned users my not have access to ebay for at least 24 hours. Good job!
