Aptel Confirmed

from the move-along-now... dept

Right. As expected, Apple has confirmed the move to Intel by "this time next year." If you haven't been drowned in analysis over this decision already on other sites, you probably don't want to see any more here, so we'll just let this one slide by and leave the speculating to everyone else.

I think you meant Apple in the subject of the story.

Aptel... a bad joke Apple + Intel = Aptel, a la Wintel. Would Mactel have worked better?

Sorry! I was just browsing down thru and saw the title again and suddenly got it even before I read your comment. Mactel prob would have worked better because Aptel is only a single letter different than Apple and the brain (mine at least) screams typo and goes no further down that path when it see it.
