eBay Tries Purchase Protection... Sort Of

With Yahoo dropping its auction fees, and ongoing complaints about scammers on eBay, it looks like the company is experimenting with a new purchase protection program for certain large purchases. Of course, they've tried purchase protection programs in the past that haven't gone over so well, as they seemed a bit arbitrary or misleading -- so it would be nice to see a little more evidence that this one actually works instead of just being a publicity stunt.
