The iPod Wakeup Call
from the adopting-new-technologies dept
Recognizing the changing landscape of how people listen to music, Hilton is apparently replacing the radios found in rooms across many of its chains so that they have a plug to attach a music player and are combining that with a number of iPod related promotions. What's interesting here isn't so much the technology (which is nothing special), but that the hotel is (a) taking this step and (b) promoting it so heavily. They're recognizing that many travelers audio needs are different than they were just a few years ago, and are changing to accommodate them.
