Comdex Is Still Dead... Or, At Least, In Greece
from the like-anyone-believed-it-would-be-back dept
Last year, when it was announced that there would be no fall Comdex in Vegas, the organizers promised it would be back in 2005. Of course, no one actually believed it would be. Well, it appears that, once again there will be no Las Vegas Comdex. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has said that while dates were reserved, the lack of communication from the show's organizers means that they're going to start offering up that space to other conventions. The folks who put on Comdex have apparently decided to head off to Europe and will try to put on a Comdex in Greece at the same time the Vegas one was scheduled for. Somehow, you get the feeling that if Comdex was failing in Vegas, it's not going to do much better in Greece. Hopefully, the organizers make sure that no one shows any video games, since that might break Greek law.
