France Actually Does Decide To Scan Their Own Books!

I certainly didn't expect that to work. Last month, when France's national library chief was complaining that Google print wouldn't pay enough attention to French culture, I suggested there was a very simple solution to this: scan your own damn books. Apparently, he agreed. He's convinced French president Jacques Chirac that the country should do their own version of Google Print. Problem solved.
