Breaking News: MSNBC Spams Users

Yet another story about human error. It appears that MSNBC's system for sending out "breaking news" alerts is to have the alerts emailed to an address where they first must be approved by someone. Spammers apparently bombard the email address with their own spam, and an MSNBC employee accidentally "approved" a spam message for some sort of lottery, which got sent out to MSNBC's mailing list as "breaking news."
